The provenance of our products is very important to us. We only work with craftsmen and traditional manufacturers we know personally and raw materials of the best quality and whose origin we know explicitly. This is not difficult, but it is expensive and time consuming and in our view a worthwhile investment for us and for you.
All our classic silk ties are woven in Suffolk in a mill that was established in England in the 18th Century. They are hand cut and stitched together using the best wool interlining which gives a beautiful handle and longevity to the ties. We adore elegant, restrained designs and colours.
45 Degrees of Separation is our modern tie collection that takes traditional fabrics and breaks all the rules. These ties are iconoclastic, anti-establishment and non-conformist; they reflect the zeitgeist for a modern irony in dressing while still referencing the past. We make these ties ourselves in our own workshops.
We are passionate about the quality of our belts. Leather working is one of the crafts still alive and well in England and differs from our European neighbours in being more solid and built to last. We use the best English tanned bridle leather and hand-cast buckles in pewter, antiqued brass and solid Sterling silver. Absolute attention to detail includes (hidden) hand stitching in our signature duck egg blue linen thread.
There is an incredibly strong craftsman jewellery heritage in the UK. All over the British Isles are men and women devoted to producing beautiful pieces of art in precious metals. We have carefully edited this and are working with artists who empathise with our aesthetic of understated elegance and beauty, all of whom make the cufflinks themselves from silver, gold, pebbles and jet.
